Q&A

Frequently Asked Questions about planning for Oregon state parks in the South Beach and Beverly Beach Management Units:

  1. Where are the South Beach and Beverly Beach Management Units located?

  2. How can I get in touch with a planner at Oregon State Parks?

  3. When is the next public meeting?

  1. Where is an actual list of “your” properties, on which I can base my comments? (for example: I have a summer home between Waldport and Yachats. Which of these are part of the Plan? Patterson, Beachside, Tillicum, Driftwood, Seal Rock, Ona Beach, Smelt Sands …)

    • Thanks for your question. The presentation from our first public meeting includes a full list of parks addressed by the plan, along with park maps. The plan includes all state park properties along the coast between Gleneden Beach and Yachats, including six of the properties you mentioned: Governor Patterson, Beachside, Driftwood Beach, Seal Rock, Brian Booth (Ona Beach), and Smelt Sands. Tillicum is a US Forest Service owned property and is not addressed in this plan.

    • We have added a list of all parks being considered in this planning process to the ‘Your Parks Your Vision’ tab. We hope this helps.
