Public Meetings III Summary
The 3rd round of public meetings for the South Beach / Beverly Beach Management Units Plan was held in early July 2016. Open house meetings were held in Newport and Gleneden Beach and an advisory committee meeting was held at Beverly Beach State Park. More than forty people attended in total and shared their feedback on proposed park development concepts and other issues related to the parks.
A summary of feedback at the meetings is posted below, along with the presentation given at the advisory committee meeting. Proposed park development concepts can be viewed here.
If you were not able to attend the meetings but would like to share your thoughts about parks in the South Beach or Beverly Beach Management Units, you can contact us directly or submit comments via this website.
A final draft plan will be developed that addresses park development and natural resource management, taking into account public input received at the latest round of meetings. The draft plan will be shared with the public at the next (and last) round of public meetings, tentatively scheduled for November 2016. Details of the meetings will be posted in the fall.
